Aymen El Amri

Engineer, author, and founder of FAUN.dev, eralabs, and Ragger.

👋 Hey there! Since you found your way here, you're probably curious about what I do. Here's the quick version.

I'm a technical architect, technopreneur, trainer, and author. I tend to get involved when things are messy, and I've spent most of my career on work that doesn't fit neatly into a job title. I build systems, test ideas under real constraints, and discard assumptions that fail under load.

My work spans DevOps, Cloud Native architecture, Python, and applied AI. The through-line is turning complex infrastructure and engineering concepts into practical knowledge engineers can actually apply.

I've trained thousands of engineers and teams at companies like Microsoft and Intel, and authored books and courses across a range of technical topics — some translated into Korean, Chinese, and Russian. My teaching style is direct and applied, grounded in real implementation rather than theory. TechBeacon named me one of the top 100 DevOps influencers worldwide.

I founded FAUN.dev to share practical knowledge, help teams build better systems, and give other engineers a place to share what they've learned. As an advisor to tech startups, I work with founders at the intersection of engineering depth, business leverage, and long-term scalability.

When I'm not coding, writing, or teaching, I'm walking in nature, reading, exploring ideas in philosophy and science, and building things just to see where they fail. An "anti-fragile empiricist philosopher," you could say ;)

Practical MCP with FastMCP & LangChain

Build MCP servers and clients with FastMCP and LangChain: tool design, error handling, human-in-the-loop approval and production deployment.

Local AI Engineering with Ollama — book cover

Local AI Engineering with Ollama

Run models on your own hardware with Ollama: size the machine, drive the API, package a Modelfile, fine-tune with QLoRA, ship an agent.

GitOps the Hard Way, with Argo CD — book cover

GitOps the Hard Way, with Argo CD

Provision servers with Terraform, bootstrap a cluster, install Argo CD from raw manifests, and build a GitOps pipeline you wired yourself.

Learn Git in a Day - The Visual Guide — book cover

Learn Git in a Day - The Visual Guide

Zero Git to a real workflow in a day: the working directory, staging area and repository, and how to undo anything you did.

AWX in Action — book cover

AWX in Action

Run Ansible as a platform: install AWX on Kubernetes, build inventories and workflows, ship custom execution environments, scale it out.

Helm V4 in Practice — book cover

Helm V4 in Practice

What Helm actually does during install, upgrade and rollback — so you can design charts that bend without breaking and debug releases.

Need My Brain?

There is no better way to get to know each other than a chat.

We can start with these talking points: Coffee (The bougier the better) / Strength training (big lifts, big fun) / Heavy Metal (yes, louder is better) / Trying to find glitches in the simulation (still waiting for my NPC to blink)
